PHILOSOPHY
Children are curious
by nature and eager to learn new things. They play with enthusiasm and it
is through their play that they learn. We can teach children most effectively
when we allow them to learn in the way that comes naturally to them. It
is important to recognize that all children grow in developmental stages
that are sequential and continuous. Each child is unique and will learn
in his/her own way at his/her own pace.
As parents and educators,
we share the responsibility of providing young children with opportunities
to learn all about themselves and their world in a safe, stimulating, and
enjoyable environment. I believe that a strong partnership between parent
and teacher will truly benefit the child.
At this learning
center, all children will be treated with kindness and respect. Every child
will be encouraged to explore, experiment, question, imagine, discover,
create, make choices, resolve problems, progress at his/her own pace, and
have fun being a child.
The first five years
of a child’s life are the most significant in terms of learning, growth,
and development. As a preschool teacher, I consider myself privileged to
be an important part of these wonderful years.
