DISTINCTIVE FEATURES

THE PROGRAM is rich in reading-readiness activities which help build an excellent foundation for kindergarten and elementary school. It is designed exclusively for children who are four and five years old.

THE CLASS SIZE (6 children per class) is small enough to allow a tremendous amount of individual attention yet large enough to help the children learn and practice good social skills.

THE LOCATION is in my home, located on ten acres of land in the rural northeast corner of Oakland County. Opportunities for outdoor play, nature walks and other outdoor learning activities abound.

THE CLASSROOM is the entire lower level of the home where children enjoy a very colorful, stimulating, and fun-filled learning environment. There are numerous shelves at the children’s level which hold a wide variety of manipulatives. In addition to many art supplies and bulletin boards, there is an easel, blackboard, and sensory table. There are also areas for science and nature study, math activities, playing house, snack time and a library. Children enjoy making puzzles, playing games, building with blocks, playing musical instruments, cooking, baking, and building with wood.

THE TUITION is all-inclusive. At the time of enrollment, parents pay a registration fee and deposit. Beginning in September, a monthly tuition fee will be paid for nine months. No additional fees will be charged, with the exception of the cost of admission for field trips. Parents will NOT be asked to purchase supplies or provide snacks, (unless you choose to send a special treat for a birthday or holiday celebration). There will be NO candy sales or other fundraisers for you to support.

THE TEACHER brings to this learning center a wide range of teaching experiences. These include teaching positions in public and private schools, enrichment programs for the gifted and talented, Sunday School, and providing instruction for homebound children. Classroom teaching experiences include elementary, primary, kindergarten, and preschool children. The teacher holds a Michigan K-8 Teaching Certificate.
